No headlights on a cool morning

Greetings, I have been expirencing on cool mornings lately (30-35 degrees) after I start the truck, with grid heaters working, the headlights will not come on. The parking lights will come on but no headlights. This does not happen above these temps nor after they start working. After they start working they never flicker or fail just don't come on on a cool morning. I test them even before I start the truck and same thing. I do not have any other lights hooked to the switch . I have to pull the switch out quite a few times then they will work . This didn't happen last year. Winter is on the way. Could it be the switch?? Truck is a 95 4x4 nv4500 CTD 236k. Thanks for all your input. Brian

Might be the relay is going out. Try switching it out under the hood on the driver's side with another nearby relay....

Sounds like the headlight switch. Kind of odd symptoms though.

I have the same problem. I have tested the headlight switch and multi-function switch and swapped relays. I have to wait 10 to 15 min then they will come on. Its kinda a pain but don't know what else to do.

sounds like a headlight switch to me also, before i replaced mine, i would pull it all the way back and only the parking lights came on. to verify if its the switch, try switching to your brights. if the brights dont stay on then i bet its the headlight switch. i had to drive around at night holding my brights on
