New kool vues - but adj. **** hits bolt

Been around for awhile and contemplated upgrading my stock power mirrors on my 01 to the koolvue power towing mirrors... but never saw this issue on the forums.

I installed them over the weekend and last night attached my drivers side door panel. That's when I noticed a problem.

The adjustment **** for the mirrors - the back end of it hits the upper bolt / nut area of the new brackets / mirrors!

I really cannot get the single screw at the top to snug down without worrying about breaking something.

Everything else fits great! Brackets are from Dodge. Door panel is fully on everywhere else and snug.

Anyone else have this issue and if so, what did you do?

Thanks!

i either forced it to catch or used a longer screw. at first i noticed it sticking out further than it did when stock . . . but now i wouldn't be able to tell anything was wrong until comparing to a truck with stock mirrors.
