New guy here - what do I have?
Stereo issues are easy. I have had 2 99's and replaced the head unit with a Pioneer. The front door speakers I replaced with Blaupunkt shallow mount 6x9's. I also have 2 10's under the back seat in a custom MTX box (made for the truck). Stock tweets and stock rear speakers. Sounds great!
The lights used to work.
They worked when they stopped clicking - both in the ON position. Which is why they don't light up now, because the bulbs have been removed.
And thanks for the scans from the TSM. They're a lot more detailed than what I've seen in Mitchell On Demand and Alldata. Unfortunately I don't have access to Chrysler's online system anymore...
I'm fully planning to replace the stereo as soon as I have money for a decent replacement. I'd rather not put a $50 Craigslist POS that looks like ricer dash candy in my truck.

The rears were 5.25" 2-ways. I replaced them with a set of discontinued Pioneers from Best Buy that were on clearance - $19.99 for what were previously $60 speakers.
I've been afraid of pulling the door panel off on account of the pain in the rear I had with the rears, even after going to Harbor Freight and buying a door/trim removal kit.

If you enjoyed removing the rear door panel, you'll love the fronts. Dodge so screwed up on that, as well as most of the interior assemblies, that overhead light your having trouble with, mines busted to, it's the plastic pivot point that gives out, should be a better design for all the force it takes, I just pull mind down re-snap it into place and move on. I've been in auto trimming for 10 years, these door panels (and others) are not really designed to be removed w/out causeing damage ("thanks Dodge"). Oh first time I thought my overhead light was non functional, I forgot to check my bulbs, so I guess there are few idiots trying to help you out.
