I am in a bit of a dilemma. I am getting transferred back to the states soon. My truck was shipped off last Wednesday. I will be ordering a Leer camper shell for the truck in a few weeks. Since Leer caps are painted to match the truck they need my paint code when I order. Unfortunately, the truck has already been shipped, and is in transit, no way for me to check the paint code on the door tag.

Does anyone know the paint code for a 2001 with Timberline Green Pearl Coat (or maybe called Forest Green Pearl Coat)? If anyone has the code I would greatly appreciate it.

 

Jr., Here is what I found out for ya.Apparently it is a Forest Green Pearl. DT9307/PG8.That came up under the Paint codes for Dodge.Hope this helps you out.Cin

Welcome home! Be absolutely sure of your color code before ordering. My canopy on my last truck didn't quite match and I came to find out it was the wrong paint code. It drove me crazy when someone would say "Is that the same color as the truck?"

 

Just like kurtaing mentioned be sure of your color code. There are actually different shades of the same color with a slightly different code. My Dad went through about 4-5 shells,and tried different top brands before he actually got a top to match. He had to send off his gas tank door to the factory in order for them to get the proper match. But that just might be because he had Light Driftwood paint. Good luck and well come back!

 

Ditto. In 99 there were two different greens (emerald and forest). Don't know if that carried through or not to 01. Same with silver in the 01. I bought a silver cap used from another 01 owner and it is a couple of shades different from the light driftwood (silver really) on the bottom of my truck. Also, there are two different paint codes for dark garnet red for 01. Not sure what the difference is but I verified that at the touch-up color website (don't know how accurate that is either).

If you have the VIN, you should be able to call a Dodge dealer and they can pull it up on their computer and give you the paint code.
