I have a 2001.5 Ram 2500. Built in Nov 2000.
Here in Norway I must put in a speed limiter on 55 mph before Jan 1 2008, if my truck is first time registered after Okt 2001.

Also if you have a Dieseltruck with total weight over 3500 kg you will be limited at 55 mph, if it is registered after Okt 2001. Thats Norway.

I guess my truck is registered before that. I bought it in Montana in 2003 with 68 K miles on it.
Do a Carfax show first time registration. ? If any body now how to proof when it was taken in use, I would be a happy man.

Try contacting the Montana state DMV in Helena and ask for the local office from where the truck originated. If you remember the license plate's first number and letter, for example 7T, would be Flathead county, Truck, and then the number. You can get this info from the state website for all the county numbers. After that call the local county DMV and ask they may steer you in the right direction. Dodge Dealership will have the info you need.

They use it to track the warranty, which starts when the truck is first purchased.

Just pick a Dealership (do a google search) and give the parts desk a call.
They will need your VIN. (Dealership with good online presence should have all the phone numbers listed on their website)

He should be able to run the VIN for ya.

 

Carfax will usually list the registration and each renewal.

I will try the Chrysler dealer here in Norway first, Dont want my truck to have a top end on only 55 mph.

I bought the carfax unlimited month subscription plan before I bought my truck, I still have it for another three weeks if you want to send me the vin # I can run it for you this evening and let you know what it says. Just pm me the vin # or something.
