Need advice on truck to buy

I have found a clean 96 CC 3500. It has 128k and is an auto with a 3.55 rear. Looks good. Price (asking) $10,995. What other than the KDP would have to be done in order too be a good tow rig. What do I need to look for. I am aware that the autos were not the best in those years.

Thanks

Jason

What are you towing? They're good tow rigs in stock form if you keep up on maintenance. The only issue I could see you having if you take care of the KDP is the transmission. Service that regularly, and you should be ok. Unless you plan on towing ridiculous amounts?

Usually 8k at the most. Most of the time 4-5k.

I'd say you're pretty much good to go in a well maintained stock form. If you want more juice to make towing more comfortable, then you're looking at doing transmission work. This is assuming a healthy truck to begin with. I tow that with my stock 99 a few times a month with no issues.
