Need 1 2001 Alloy Wheel

Anyone know a good place to get 1 16x8 Alloy wheel. I bought a set and the previous owner didn't tell me that one of them had a crack. Now I'm stuck with 3 wheels and 4 brand new tires. I need to find one ASAP. Any Ideas???? Thanks Pete

Have you seen any recently. I saw a couple on there but they wanted 100 plus shipping for 1. I only payed 200 for all 4. Pete

Correction Pete you only payed $200 for 3 and 1/4 wheels seems like there are a lot of them cracked recently where is it that the crack appears? If you go to get a replacement be carefull i sent one in for exchange on a 99 caravan sport with a little curb marking on it got the new one had it mounted and on the van about a week later i get a call sorry your old one did not qualify as a repairable wheel no core refund . I would have been better shoping a salvage yard . I did make them give me my old wheel back aluminum brings a good price for scrap they seemed to think it was odd i wanted it back

It is cracked on the inside lip where a wheel weight was. Where did you get it replaced at? Pete

Pete i have an account with a napa store that also has a ton of body supplys such as sheet metal, dupont paint, bumpers, and covers etc. The actual wheel Co name that they use i do not remember at this time but with some research i could find out it was maybe 4 years ago. I wonder if people are overloading trucks and that is what is causing the cracks. I run steel wheels on all my diesels since you need only one i would look at salvage yards to see what you can find i think the prices may be better than a wheel specialist.

Ok, thanks for the help. I guess I should have just bought a cheap set of better looking stock chrome wheels. I like the look of the alloys though. Pete

I would hit the local junk yard for just ONE wheel. If I were looking for the whole set (which I have done) I would check with the dealer for new take offs. Although, in your case, you are looking for an older model wheel, so that won't work.

Junk yard would be the easiest and best bet.

The $50 one they would ship and will only sell to walk ins because it is soo bad. The $85 one has some of the clear coat coming off around the center cap and this they will ship. I know, it stinks but I only need one rim. Pete

Don't even bother getting another I have them and think they are the best looking wheel out there but they crack like crazy, Drives me nuts thinking when are mine going to crack. Your better off geting some 3gen wheels but be careful there was a recall on some years of them.

I already got 3 and a 4th on the way. If they crack, I'll get different ones. Plus I got brand new 285 tires and they are 16's not 17's. Any ideas as to why they crack? Pete

Not a clue one mornning my bud looked at his truck and it had 3 flats , thought someone slashed his tires , but the 3 of them had cracks it was -35 that day. He never hauled heavy I think its a mistery why , the only thing for sure is their junk.
