thanks for the tips guys "and not to start a battle or anything but i notice a lot of trucks like mine rusted out compared to other makes i guess dodge didnt think of salt as much" well im gonna replace the bad fender and take some other measures to the rest and after 4 or 5 more years if it returns ill let it go

I spray peanut oil under the truck once a year. It has helped keep the rust away on the body. It doesn't hold up long on the suspension though, getting sprayed with rain all the time.

I tried paraffin spray lube at first but that didnt help for long. I still think the best bet is that etch / zinc stuff on rust and bare metal.

I had to deal with rusty vehicles when I lived in NY, regarless of who built them--do like I did----move south!!!!
