Mirror LEDs come on when brakes applied??

This past summer I replaced my stock 6x9 power/heated mirrors on my '99 3500.
I switched to power / heated flip out tow mirrors with the LEDs on the mirrors.
I installed them & followed the directions supplied for the mirrors/LEDs & decided to use them in conjunction with my turn signals.
Each mirror LED has 2 wires; power & ground. I grounded both to the dash frame, & ran the left mirror LED to the green wire w/red tracer. I ran the passenger side LED power wire to the brown wire w/ red tracer.

I don't know if it's been doing this all along (I haven't been driving the truck), but, whenever I step on the brake pedal...the mirror LEDs on both mirrors come on & stay on... & when I release the brake pedal, they go out.

I tried a different multi-function switch, same problem.

Also tried hooking the LED on the driver's side to the running light wire (black/ yellow)..& it works like it should (comes on with the running lights only).

All the other lights work fine...signals, running, brake, etc.
I'm kind of stumped as to why this is happening.
Truck is a '99 24V 5 speed w/aftermarket chrome folding tow mirrors... (Pic attached)

I don't know the colors of the wires needed, but if they are connected to the rear signals that is normal. Need to connect them to the front turn signals.

Makes sense, I'll see if I can't connect to those. Thank you

If that doesnt fix it, disconnect the led lights on the mirrors and see if the front parking lights come on when you hit the brakes. If they do you have a bad rear bulb. Seen it before.

Ok, please bear with me, for I am confused.......

These are the arrow turn LEDs that are for more visibility to those behind you, correct?

If so, they would also be turned on when you hit the brake lights, since the turn signal elements are also the ones used for the brake lights.

Am I missing something?

I tried disconnecting the LEDs last night & hitting the brakes, no parking lights came on.

The LEDs are in the top outer corners on the back of each mirror. They're amber & can be used w/signals (& hazards) OR as running lights (one or the other).

I did get everything straightened out. I tapped into each turn signal wire a few inches behind the front sidemarker / signal sockets. Then I ran wires into the cab to connect to the mirror LED wires. No more problems & everything works again.
