I haven't forgot about the pics, but the paint that I got from Advanced Auto didn't match [not even close]. The door is dirty right now & you can't tell the paint is off about 50 shades, this is why I didn't want to clean it to get you some pics...looks great dirty. LOL I will try to get some more pics up tomorrow for you before I get the Line-x done this week. I'm gonna start another thread because I don't know what color Line-X that I want for sure & need help. Here is a link. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...10#post2030110

Here is a few more pics of the finished door. I didn't clean it, but you can still see it. I'm really happy with the way the body line & door gap turned out.
Attachment 21269
Attachment 21270 I just ground the welds down on the inside door & coated them with seam sealer & spray in bedliner.

I just sprayed it for protection, it isn't a match, but not crazy bad. I'm telling you, the dirt plays tricks with the eyes. That is why I'm not cleaning it till Line-X day. I'm going with the silver Line-x. My appointment was actually today, but had to cancel because we are working down by Clarksburg W.V. & the dealer is too far away. It will be soon though.
Thanks Man, I appreciate it.

I wouldn't do that to you after you guys following this thread like this. I will post them for sure. I'm gonna be on this job all week by the looks of things, might have to wait till next week. I can't wait to get it done, should look good.

2004 Ram 1500 HEMI I have had the rear quarter panels above the tires rust and rot through . I have redone twice with patches . Now i wanted to ask if any one thought of making a plastic panel patch ? I work in extrusion making trim boards with PVC and a Blow agent I made 4'x4' !/4 inch thick piece and used this for a panel patch cutting out the rotted metal back to good . use of epoxy to adhere the plastic panel .
This did not rust or rot look good smooth last for ever .
I would be glade to let someone know how and what I used if interested

Really old thread.
Last year I replaced the left front fender and all four door lower skins. The fender was a relatively easy pain. I used list of Eastwood stuff and BC/cc paint.
I got Rock Auto lower door skins. I cut away the rust them added the patch panels up to the body line. I used 3M panel tape that we use for trailer skins. Once this stuff is on there is no getting it off. I added a few stainless rivits to help prince it together. The truck is black so they are nearly invisible. I used panel bond on the lower and formed the rollover. No welding. It survived the first winter with no rust showing.
