Lost turn signals and 4 way flasher
Started blowing the fuse for the turn signals and then the 4 way flasher fuse went. Unplugged the harness to the back of the truck, replaced the turn signal switch assembly and now the right turn signal blows the fuse right away. The 4 ways work for awhile and then blow their fuse. The left turn signal works?!?!?!
Checked the right turn signal light assembly, can't find anything wrong.
We pulled the plug under the drivers side door so the trailer wiring and rear lights were out of the loop. Fuses still blowing.
At the risk of clouding the issue I should point out that this vehicle was involved in a hard "curbing" (right side) by the prior owners ex-wife. The shop that put it back together did it on the cheap and there have been some issues that needed to be dealt with after I took possession.
Electrically it's got some other weird things going on. I mention them in the remote chance that they have a bearing on the current situation.
-the tachometer comes and goes randomly
-the radio (factory) died gradually over several years and now the test lighting (all possible digit combinations flash through) will come on and go off on its own. Is it really true that the radio is tied into the "computer?" or did I misunderstand another mechanic who told me that.
-the cigarette plug voltage isn't compatible with cell phone chargers or any other accessories.
-the speedometer will hang up at certain speeds and stay stuck until the truck is turned off or sometimes it will reset after it comes to a full stop.
- had an episode where the dashboard lights and tail lights blew their fuse. Problem appeared to resolve itself spontaneously.
It would be fantastic if all these problems had a common source. One that could be repaired and all the issues vanish simultaneously. Not bloody likely, but boy would that be a kick and I could get back to more profitable work.
It appears that the problem must be somewhere from under the dash forward but I'm not really all the good with auto electrical issues. Any thoughts from those of you who are good at this sort of thing?
I've got 38 tons of hay to move and I'm running out of summer, I really need to get this resolved. I live in a very small town and my local resources are limited.
Anyhow, the electrical stuff is the only issue this workhorse has had. Hard working, easy starting, fuel sipping and able to handle rough terrain and horrible road conditions. I love this truck and any help I can get resolving this issue(s) will more appreciated than you can imagine.

Does anybody even have a clue where I should start looking for the resolution to these issues?
I can travel locally with it the way it is, but without functional turn signals and flashers I'm hamstrung trying to go any distance.
Any and all suggestions as to where to look and how to proceed on troubleshooting would be a godsend.
Thanks

Just wild hair thoughts----
Check the wiring on passenger side where the PCM is. Possible some wires are rubbing? Possibly insulate the wiring with plastic loom?
Check where the wiring comes through the firewall? It might be rubbing there?
Don't think there are many wires on the right (Passenger side right?) that could go other than PCM wiring on firewall.
My 98 was shorting out on the left side near the shock tower bolt. I was blowing #10 fuses (fuel shut off solenoid) until I rewrapped the wiring there.
Just a few ideas...?? otherwise it might be the switch itself. If you have a FSM there is a continuity test for the multifunction switch to check if it still works...

Thank you
I'll start there and let you know what the results are, truck is too strong to let it get down from something like this.
There has to be a solution and I will find it with help.
