Looking at a 96 3500. Is it worth the money?

Found a 96 3500 dually 4x4 club cab with 135K on it. I have the guy down to 9300$ out the door tax and all. He said that the only thing that he knows of mechanically that is wrong with the truck is that the A/C does not work. Is this a good deal? I am going to drive the truck in the morning. The truck looks real straight in the pics and I have run both a Carfax and Autocheck reports and both come back clean. The truck was bought new local to me. A buddy of mine actually went by and looked at it today and gave me the VIN# to check it. He said that the only things that he sees cosmetically are some dents on the tailgate and that the drivers side dually fender is cracked. He seemed to be impresed with the truck. Just sold my 04 and really want a 12v. Is this a fair price?

I don't think its too awful bad. I just picked up truck in sig with b&w turnover ball, nerfs, not a spot of rust, no dents for $9000.

Sounds like a good deal to me, mine is a 94 regular cab auto SRW with 222k and I just paid $5900+tax (7% here so $413). You get almost 100 les miles, 2 years newer with higher hp pump and a club cab dually for about 3 grand more.

Off topic but did you change the stacks on your truck? I'm thinking of going w/ a single 7" and I went to your garage but the ones in there look like 4" maybe?

Well I went and looked at the truck. It was a complete and total basket case! I would'nt have given 5000$ for the thing. JUNK!! Still looking. I have found a 99K mi 2wd dually 96 that carfax and autocheck's out ok (for what thats worth). The only thing is that it is 700 miles from me and 9900$. If the truck is in good condition is that too much? I would make the drive if this is a fair price. Oh yea the truck has a set of alcoa wheels on it also. Thanks!

I would say that $9900 is kind of high for a 2wd 96, even with the low mileage
