leveling Kit???

I have a 99 quadcab with the heavy duty ranchhand bumper on the front. Im looking to put a leveling kit in the front and want to know which is better, the spacers or new springs. advantages and disadvantages of each. I'd appreciae any help or advice.

I had les schwab put a spacer kit on my 95. Turned out really nice. I don't know the differance between new springs and the spacer kit though.

For the price of most leveling kits you can buy the Skyjacker D25 coils for the front which will lift it the needed 2" also.......Andy

I pulled the pucks out of my 98' and put skyjacker 2.5 coils on it. The ride is better but, I put new shocks on @ the same time. I've seen a few pucks break so I'll stick w/ springs.

I got a set of the steel pucks for a song, that made up my mind. I would stay away from the rubber/poly pucks- I don't trust them personally.

Depends on what you want to do and your budget. If you just want a higher nose to level with the back and don't want to improve your ride, a metal puck is fine.

If you want to improve your ride at the same time, increase articulation, increase droop, increase travel, then a new spring is the only way to do that. D25 are fine springs, but even better are custom springs like I have from css custom coils or a setup from KORE or other custom Dodge spring makers. The spring rate on mine is softer than stock and I absolutely love it. But it will cost around 3x what metal pucks will cost, maybe more.
