I'm back and with a 12 valve!
I went to look at the 95 and as soon as I pulled up I noted how good it looked. Tires that are 6 months old, brakes that are 5 months old all around, 4" exhaust that is 1.5 years old and a new p7100 that is 1.75 years old. The paint is good except the hood and top which will have to be painted. The dash is cracked so he put a mat on it. The steering wheel will have to be wrapped. The abs light is on. The gentleman said the dealer told him is was probably a wheel speed sensor. The truck pulls very slight to the right but runs staight in the left lane on hiway. they bought it from his wifes father years ago and used it to drive to work and pull his tt. He said that it was slipping out of od and the dealer told him he needed a new trans so he bought a new diesel truck and sold this one for the trade in price of 3k. Absolutely no blow by and no leaks. The only oil I could find on the motor or trans is on the pan drain plug. He had the truck listed as needing a trans and having 175,000 miles. The truck has 157,000 and the ac cranks. The steering is tight and it stayed in overdrive withh cruise control on all the way home. He only has one battery in it currently. I noticed when standing on the drivers side of the engine bay the fan pushes a ton of air, is this normal for the 12 valve? This truck is way nicer that the other 12 vavles I have looked at and less than half the price. Time to get her tagged and kill the pin then throw in some gauges along with some taller front spings and shocks. I am thinking drive it for a while until the trans starts to show some slippage he was talking about then start messing with the pump. 3k holy cow!
