ignition switch

I have 94 3500, ignition switch broke, it will turn on everything but the starter. Is there away to hook up a toggle switch for the starter only? This is a farm truck and I don't want to spend the $ on new switch.

New switch is only $29 from Napa.
Might be easier than the hassle of messing with the wiring.

Wire goes to small contact on the starter solenoid. You "could" run a fused wire from the battery to a push button switch and down to the starter. I'd check the wire first & make sure that the switch is the problem. You may have the wire disconnected or bad starter contacts. It is usually better to fix something than 1/2 as s rig it but to each his own. Rigging and pp maintenance are the primary reason new $30,000 (or more) vehicles turn into trash.
