Ignition power source

Besides the radio and the power source in the main harness in the engine bay, where else could i get ignition power? I have enough coming off the radio right now. Appreciate the help.

Not sure what you are asking for. In our trucks the ingition power source is compression.
Are you looking for a key switched power source?

Sorry I wasn't clear. Yes, a keyed power source for running accessories and what not. I have enough coming off the radio power source so I was looking for something else I could tie into. Thanks!

At least on my year I have two "cigarette lighter" outlets on the dash. The one with the 12v power source cap is constant on but the one that had the lighter (top one) is switched and I think it's 15 amps. I use that one to power the xmas lights that I string every year without a problem.

If you are looking to power up some higher amperage things I would go with a relay and direct wire to the power side of the distrobox under the hood. It's easier on the switch and you won't have to worry about frying any wires under the dash. For the control side of the relay you could use any switched line.

I knew what I wanted to do, but didn't know how to accomplish it. What you have said gave me the idea I need. Thanks VADSL. I appreciate the help.

I will use your relay idea and run the hot line from the Relay to a distribution/fused block so I can run anything I need to off the block.

I use these folks a lot to get job boxes, fuse blocks, panels and such.
