I got it, a 98 ctd.
Dam , second time typing this. I ve search far (really far) and wide for the right truck. I put over 800 on my impala just to go look at a pos last week.... but this week end, I took 24 hrs , three planes and one rent a car (about 400$)to get to the right truck. And you wonder why people don t want to fly,!
Its a 98 quad cab 3500 dualie, 12 valve, 5 speed, 4x4. Its clean, ver clean compared to every other trucks I have looked at. Its all red with tan leather interior. It being red was an added bonus, since I have a red trailer and one red race car.
It only took 80 $ and 22 hrs to drive home. In another thread...my location came up, well Im in Vegas, I don t know if thats good or bad? I have an extra 12 valve in my shop so thats one reason I wanted a 12 valve.
It also has some things already done that I was planning on. It has a slider rear window, a receding goose neck, a red rhino lining, a brake controller, power seat, and a am/fm/cd player, as far as I can tell its as loaded as loaded gets.
The seller evnen had new tires put on two days before I picked it up, yes 235/85's.
It has some engine work, the seller didn t know what, but he claimed pump work, and it feels like it, I ve driven one other that was close or similar and it was (by owner at 275/300 and 700 to 750 ft lbs....) and this truck is very similar.
Im feel like I found exactly what I was looking for, and received a bit more...... I know someone will ask how much.....? It was 15500 with the new tires even. and as near as I can tell, one fog light doesn t work, and the floor mats aren t the right ones, not a single tear inside, and one little ding in one side of the bed. The guy that owned it received $32.60 after pay off, and he had receipts for about 2000 in the last 8 months (that how long he owned it from the first owner).
Hey, is st louse to vegas in one day good time? BTW Oak city I 40 to texas, is the roughest road in amercia.....I has to slow down to be able to see.

Re:I got it, a 98 ctd.
Congratulations, 1320! I know from experience it really pays to be patient and wait and look for what you really want. Sounds like you did just that. I had to take a plane trip to buy my CTD,too, but it only took me 5 hours to drive it home. And the seller picked me up at the airport. Mine was also extremely well cared for. An actual 2 years old, from the time of title, and it only had 12,000 miles on it. But I digress. Enjoy your truck, and welcome to the family!

DeWain

150K, yes its a 4x4 and compared to all the others I looked at the whole truck is clean, frame, engine etc...I saw several in utah, and dam they use them hard in utah. Every one had oil leaks, needed body work and the beds were trashed...only one even had a liner.....
