My hood insulation is getting to where I cant keep it up anymore. Ive bought bigger keepers to helpl hold it up, but after all the miles of wet-dry-hot-cold its coming apart?

Think I should keep trying to doctor or just rip it out? Im afraid to go to the dealer and order a new one, there probobly a couple hundred dollars - knowing there prices on other simple items.

I'd say it was up to you, but the 2001.5's didn't come with insulation,(among other things) and I don't think there is a real need for it. My feeling is, the Cummins builds enough heat that the insulation is not needed for that part, but maybe as a sound deadener?
