Help, CD player just kicked the bucket...
Man, started up my truck this morning to goto church, and no CD player. Any ideas? Oh, it's the stock CD player / cassette player. Is it very hard to install an aftermarket unit?
Mine quit and I replaced it with a alpine unit. Check out crutchfield.com, they are cheaper than anyone else, give you all the stuff you need to install it for free, and give you great instructions. Good Luck
I'll also recommend crutchfield. Their install instructions are *super* easy to follow.
If you're into computers, consider putting in a CD player that also plays MP3s. I've converted all my CDs to MP3, and I can put 10-12 albums on a single CD. When they get stolen or scratched, it's just a quarter to burn another one. Also, by having so many albums on a single disk, it's like having a changer in the dash.
I love mine.

Crutchfield. You buy it, they send detailed instructions, and if that's not enough, they have folks on the other end of the telephone to help you out. I installed a CD/MP3 player in lieu of my stock tape player and it took me 2 hours total.
