You might have already tryed this but remove the line at the pump and install a new short hose with the vac gauge only (Kinda like dead headin the thing and eliminate all the other hose's)

There's gicky plastic "Tee" that's between the pump and booter and it can be leaking under the factory clamps.

Theres a check valve in the fitting thats screwed into the pump,...if it doesn't hold a vacuum, it could be the check valve has crap in it,

The only thing I'm real good at on a dodge is,.. Yankin' dem Cummins out! LOL

I usually hook my vacuum gauge up to a tee on the firewall that has an unused outlet that's plugged.

i JUST ABOUT ROLLED TEH TRUCK TODAY!! i got the biggest case of death wobble, It snapped the track bar off!!!! i was going about 75 and hit a pot hole, Out of no where. It seemed the truck was bouncing off the ground 1 foot. It left 200' ( wobble marks down the highway) I had it towed to a auto zone and replaced every steering component there. ( ya they let me borrow there tools) The nice thing is it only costs about 300 bucks and ever thing has a lifetime warreny. I felt that i had to share that with you all. It had NEVER done that before. so watch out for that one!

anyways i bet the truck could stop a 747 jet! I did the gm rear swap. put on a new master, front lines, booster, and found a large leak in the plastic cruse hose. I replaced the hose and i got 35" of vac @ idle. after bleeding for 30min. The brakes are unreal! it will easley lock all 4 wheels if needed.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL THAT WROTE IN ON THIS THREAD!
I'm VERY HAPPY AT THIS POINT.

Glad you are unhurt, and back on the road with a whole truck. Replacing worn out parts sure makes a difference.

Congrats on fixing your braking problem.
I just read this thread from start to finish and seeing what you went through to figure it out!
Thanks to the other guys that shared their experiences with a similar problem to help you solve yours...and this will be archived for someone else to find in a search to their problem.
