i have what i think is an apps problem and will try the reset method later today. i just pulled the codes using the key on off trick and got a p0216. fuel injection pump timing failure. what does this mean and the cure. the truck still runs but does have symptoms of a bad aps from what i have read. larry

 

Usually 216 is associated with a dying injection pump. What are your symptoms?

 

2 times now when in cruise controll going 65=70 mph it seems to not keep up. push on pedal and nothing happens, but if i step on it hard it will take off again. that is the only symptom. other than the two times seems to run fine.

 

have you checked your fuel pressure? mine started getting sluggish like that when my lift pump started to go down hill & fuel pressure was getting low.

 

fuel pressure is good.

Good people - took great care when I ran into problems. (It is easy to take care when there are no problems.) Talk to Mark. He owns the place & said they sell lots of pumps (MWFI) but the brand isn't apparent on the site.
