heater core question reference post question.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=229112this is the post that I thought was great.

instead of hose could you use the compression fittings for copper pipe and never worry about it leaking.

My heater is not working well and I have flushed it back and forth. 230k miles

Plus, what is the part number for the heater core, or who would you get it from?

thanks for your in put.

I now understand that there is just not room to work these fittings down tight.

I added to the other post my findings and how I did it. pictures also.

IF YOU ARE WORRIED THE HOSE WILL LEAK USE PERMATEX AVIATION sealer on the pipes, i have never had a hose leak with this have even fixed hose and fitting leaks with it, comes in a bottle with a brush, do not get it on anything else it is a mess like tar or indian head shellac (sp?)
