headlights

I was able to affordably upgrade my old sealed beams headlights to the more modern Halogen removable bulb type on my Jeep cj, does anyone know if there is a similar upgrade for my 01 Ram 2500? Other suggestions for better lighting, I have only the stock headlights now.

thanks

you can put the 4 headlight sport headlights in. They can be had on ebay for 300bucks or less if you look around

I've looked at the headlight problem too and it seems the Sport headlights are the way to go. Everyone seems satisfied with them. Now, just which ones to get is the question. It takes a new conversion relay headlight harness or wire up your own. Let us know which one you get and how you like it.

hmmmmm, I just assumed I'd look for sport headlights for the 01 which Rock Auto has for $110-130 or so depending on which quality you choose. Ebay has some aftermarket bling sport style light assemblies as well. I guess I need some more education and some time with the various wiring diagrams

The high beams on the sport headlights aren't that good imo.

I think mine are great, huge upgrade from stock. The relays and larger wire is a large part of the difference in performance. Here was my upgrade if your interested, complete with wiring and parts info: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=191370

awesome guys thanks! those links are very helpful, you guys did great work on your trucks, I've got a ton of little fix ups to do to mine and thought this would be a good place to start learning about the truck. Do the factory fog/driving lights in the bumper help? better to go with a less fluted lens? Factory replacement lenses with the mounts are available fairly inexpensively but my not be worth the slightly higher price than the walmart/autozone aftermarket lights, much less something like a PIAA or Hella.

Thanks all!

Check your state regs on aux driving lites In some states it is illegal to have them on anytime there is oncoming traffic. I got pulled over for it in CO. once.
