headlight and key in ignition buzzer doesn't work

The buzzer for having the key still in the ignition or the headlights left on doesn't work. The buzzer when I turn the key for the seat belt does work thou. It's been this way for the two years I've owned the truck.
I'm thinking the previous owner my have cut some wires somewhere to eliminate the buzzer but I'm not having much luck finding out where. anyone have this same issue that can help me out ?

thanks,

I wish mine had this problem!!

IIRC the buzzer is behind the fuse panel on the right side of the dash....

There is a a two wire connector at the ignition switch that when unplugged disables the key in ignition functions.
One of the first things I did to my trucks.
Follow the first three steps of these instructions to get at it and plug it back in.> http://dodgeram.org/tech/repair/elect/ign_switch.htm

I found the buzzer behind the fuse panel. When I first turn the key before starting the truck is does still buzz so that seems to be working. I then took the cover off the steering column and that plug for the key switch is still plugged in. I looked everywhere I could think of under the dash and didn't see any cut wires or anything unplugged. I even pulled out the light switch to see if all those wires were still intact. It looked like the switch was replaced but all the wire were hooked up.
Any other ideas ?

Did 96 model years have that feature....

I do not remember if my dad's 94 does it with the key in, because we leave the keys in it in the barn and I don't think it chimes...
