I ran a search but didnt find anything. I want to reglue the fabric on my headliner but I cant get the passenger side grab handle off. There are no removable covers on it and trying to move it back and forth to release the plastic covers didnt do it either. What am I missing guys. This is making me feel like a real idiot!

 

I'm not sure on the newer models, but on my 98.5 I pushed the middle of the handle upwards and was able to slide the plastic cover back exposing a Phillips head screw.

Thanks MKELLEY. This was on my 95. I finally got it off similiar to what ya said. After shoving up on the strap the plastic cover came loose from the retainer that screws to the roof. After a little persuasion of course. Then when the cover was loose I got to the screw. I only cracked on cap along the mold line so it will never be noticed anyways. This grab handle took the longest of anything dealing with taking out the headliner. Once it was out the wife took one look and says she likes the metal roof better than the liner. I think that she is coming to myside of plastic means more rattles than the metal dashs of the past. Thanks for the help.
