got new tires this weekend

It definatly pays to shop around. I bought Toyo open country m/t's 285/75/16 load range e. I got out the phone book called all the tire stores I could find for a price. First place I called wanted 455 a tire, next four places were all around 350 a tire, then the last place I called 250 a tire and they gave me a almost new tire as a spare for 30 bucks. The cheapest I could find online was about 300 a tire. So Im really happy with the price and the seem to ride really nice and quiet too. Heres a couple pics off my phone.

its a samsung phone. I hope they wear well too. I dont really offroad but I dont like the looks off highway type tires and i do drive in snow and Ive heard these are good in snow. What pressure would you guys run in them to get the least wear. I have them right around 55psi. Thanks

im looking at the some open country's also. if you're standing behind the truck, do your new tires stick out past the widest point of your wheel wells?

i have 265 on my truck right now, and want to go bigger - either 285 or 295 - depending on how far they stick out (if any).

what tires were you running prior to these? did you compare the mt's to the at's?

I just got 4 Toyo Open Country A/T's...265/75 R16 Load range E off Ebay for 650 shipped to my door. I would run the tires at 80 PSI.

Installed H2 wheels & BFG 315s this weekend. Running 55psi in them and the thing drives almost like a cadilac. Both of my bros have reached about 90k miles on their bfgs so hopefully I won't be replacing tires soon.

which bfg's do you have High bid? And your right about the MTR's being junk. I had them on my jeep that I had before the truck. They were load, wore like crap, and I didn't care for them all that much in the mud. And you can forget about going anywhere in the rain with them.
