Funky noise from the front end.

It started (I think) after I put the 03 trac bar conversion on. I dont *think* its hitting anything. But the noise mostly comes from the front... passinger? side. Usually I hear it at very low speeds when I turn like turning out of the driveway or into a parking space. Its kind of like a thunk. As if you took 2 heavy dence peices of mettle and just kind of hit them together. No ringing noise or bounceing just a dead clunk. I havnt checked wheel bearings yet but im not sure if they would even cause a sound like that. Lower draglink is new too and all other joints in the steering seem fine and dandy. Any ideas?

My vote is one of the control arms.

I had more of a "thunk" that ended up being the passenger side lower arm being lose-ish.

Could be a ball joint. Mine was doing the funking clunk turning sharp at low speed. Turned out to be a couple smoked upper joints but if you lifted a tire off the ground and tried to shake the tire by hand you could not generate enough force to make them budge. I jammed a big pry bar in there and sure enough it didn't take a whole lot force for them to start moving.

Mine started doing that right after I had all four balljoints replaced at the dealer. It's driving me freaking nuts. Everything is torqued up underneath there and there is nothing binding or hitting. It's pretty violent sounding. When the joints on mine were bad, it never once made that popping noise. Captain, is your's worse at the start of the day? Mine is very loud for the first 30 minutes or so and then sorta quiets down. Makes me think something is not staying lubed.
