Funky electrical issue
Funky electrical issue
Last night I went to the car wash and cleaned up my baby, well when I left I pulled out onto the street and my "abs" light and my parking brake light came on for now reason.
On my half ton that I used to have, I had the same issue and it was the abs speed sensor on the rear axle. Well when that went out my speedo quit working..................not the case this time. Speedo works fine.
So on top of that, I get into town and turn on my right blinker and it starts blinking REALLY fast like I have a light out.......Ok no big deal. Well I park the truck for about 2 hours, jump back in and notice when I turn my lights on my right blinker indicator stays on constant!?!?!?!?! And neither one of my blinkers work front or rear and my parking light up front doesn't work either.
SOOOOOOOO to add on top of that, now when I go and lock my truck with my remote my dang horn doesn't honk anymore.............
Worked just fine earlier yesterday.
What the heck is going on here, I haven't had time to check for bad bulbs or fuses, but for all of this stuff to happen at once leads me to believe something funky is going on.

Did you hose down the engine compartment? My guess is you got water into one of the connections that doesn't like it. It'll probably dry out in a day or two and be OK. You could check all the grounds, especially cables.
I had a friend with an old chevy car that did something like this...he would turn on the high beams and the radio would come on, and then he would turn on the left turn signal and the interior lights would come on...he treated that car like crap though so i guess he had an excuse.
