fuel tank

fuel tank

got back from a trip this weekend and it seems that somewhere along the way i got a hole in the back of my fuel tank about halfway down :'(

given the fact that my truck was a rolling diesel fountain i really couldnt think of anything to do other than take it into the shop (really dont have the time to tackle a job like that myself)

my question is do any of you know how much this is going to cost me? would just like to know, they said they should have it done by friday

It is possible to weld plastic.

How big was the hole?

Now the HUGE question is:
Is that the way the shop will fix it? ???

the hole was about a 1/4" in diameter as far as i can tell.

still big enough to have fuel pouring out of it :-[

i took it to the dealer though (only ones that would even look at it this week) so somethin tells me they may "recommend" replacing the the whole tank :
