OK, got the new shutoff solenoid in, bee-yootiful! It came with a new relay - and I sure can't find that critter.....

With the size of the connector lugs, there have to be sizable wires in the harness to the relay - where the HECK is this thing hiding? Four lugs, and a tab on the body to mount to wherever it's supposed to go..

The relay goes on the firewall at the top towards the driver's side. There are two relays next to each other, the other one is the fuel heater relay. On my truck, they are kind of hidden behind the wire loom that runs across there.

 

 

thanks again guys, I looked at that thing and it just didn't compute - new one is not quite as big or something? Maybe it's just too clean
