Thanks to all who contributed. Your timing is impeccable.I just installed the rears yesterday. And i thought i'd need a spring compressor for the front. It's still up on the rack so i'm back at it this morning. YOU GUYS ROCK...Thanks!

So who likes their billstien yellows? and does not think they are too harsh. I'll not be able to drive it till my trans is done. ([$2200.00 in pars and running...)

I cant wait

both the yellow and 5100's are great, makes my truck ride like new. My front shocks went super easy but mine is a Non-salt belt truck with very little rust on it

I just put a set on mine about 2,000 miles ago. I certainly don't think the ride is harsh at all, like my yellow Bilsteins so far.

I can't remember the code 1748...or something like that. It slips up to 2000RPM and does not really lock-up. starts to around 30mph...then really locks up around 50MPH. This may have been the problem all along. Keep in mind this is TRANSMISSION # 9 !! (not kidding)

Something about the tcm/ecu problems.

This is the first trans. i am replacing at my expense. So i bought the RED clutch pack kit. DTT throttle body. voltage regulator.Input shaft, HD torQ converter. I added a Derale fan cooled trans cooler, and a B&M oil pan +4 Qts. ....Yadda Yadda, Yadda....

So maby it was just an electronic problem all along.

Hey, you using my name? LOL
I just did mine and the front fixed lower nut started to spin on the drivers side. I had to put it on a lift to let the front end weight stretch the spring and get the mig welder in there to weld the nut in place so I could continue to back out the bolt with the impact. It was like freakin' brain surgery. I also had to torch the shock shaft in half to get it out as the top nut wouldn't come off and i couldn't get it past the battery tray. It was easier than removing the tray.
