Thumbs up fixed power seat motor!

hi
well finaly i figured out how to get my power seat motor to work !

it took me sence feb when i bought the truck , as i was trying to find a replacement .
now if i can find some used ones i can prob fix them , a for lot less than buying the whole seat track for $500.00 , that wasn't gona happen !

Faster and further

Figure out a way to make it move faster and further forward and backwards. Now that would be worth alot to me!!

Did you repair the motor that wasn't working?

When I got my truck, mine wasn't working either.

Turns out, those seat motors have an internal fuse

that is not replaceable.

I was told this by a alternator repair shop.

He just soldered a piece of wire in it's place and it

worked!

I just hope that if it shorts out again nothing bad

happens!!!

If yours is broke, it is possible to fix.

As long as there's a fuse somewhere between the power seat motor and the battery--you're safe. Hopefully it's in a more convenient place and replaceable.
