Hey everyone, I was on a long search, first for a 3rd gen, then a 2nd. But finally found Exactly what I was looking for.
1997 12V,standard cab, 5 Speed, 4x4, Dana 80, ST, Man Locks, Man Windows, and at a good price. Needs lots of little things, FIx here and there, Alignment badly ( my steering wheel is upside down)....and just lots of little loose ends. But 156K on the clock and it is BONE STOCK!.. Never touched, no intake, exhaust, no nothing....
So it should be a good base for a daily driver. And eventually an SVO truck.

Forgot how much fun it is driving a dielsel 5 speed. Its like driving a dump truck....but need to get that blow off louder, makes me smile when I shift = )

ahhh, i think we all remember the first time we drove our trucks home. i felt like king of the road

 

I just experienced that same feeling last week. Sure is wonderful to be back in a Manual Transmission!! Congrats on the new truck. Let us know what you are doing to it.

thanks guys! I am going through all the little things that are gone wrong with a 12 year old truck, sqkeek here, issue here, issue there. So just going through a bunch of things trying to make it nice...it needs an alignment bad, my steeringwheel is upside down and it likes to pull a little bit...
