Looking for the thread specs for the NV4500 5 speed fill plug. I read a post awhile back, where someone stated they installed a pipe extension on this plug to add and additional quart of fluid to the transmission. I would like to do the same. Thanks.

 

Not sure about that but I did add Transcoolers to mine and that added almost another quart.

[/quote]<br><br>It's as simple as that, just a 90 degree elbow threaded in to the fill plug hole. Put a cap on it to keep dirt out and you're there. There are many cheap configurations, no real 'specs' just as long as the new hole is about an inch and a half higher.<br><br>We've done this many times but unfortunately I don't have any pics. I didn't do it to mine yet, I have the Fast coolers which allow more oil themselves.
