Let her get rolling in the parking lot in 3rd then apply the brakes and fuel at the same time. The brakes lose the battle and the smoke rises from the rear tires.

I quit doing burnouts once I put the 315's on, it's too expensive now!!! But once I get a powerlok in the back, the old little 245's are going to roast like there's no tomorrow Those things lasted forever, and I bet I got serious rubber with them once every 2 or 3 days, and when I say serious rubber, I mean drive away and the tire smoke is still there - that kind of rubber Today was the one exception, had to light "it" up (only passenger rear) because it was my last day of high school and had to do a mark twice as long as my friend's Jeep, because he got both of his going

how do u guys do this with an auto? just hold the brake and floor her till the brakes run away? ....ive only spun the tires in rain and snow and that was unintentional ....i need a tight TC really badly....whats the deal with this stock TC anyway....load her up with 10 000lbs and she revs to 2300rpms before i move and then once i hit lock up in 3rd its like there';s no load there and the motor sounds bored

Yea, that is how you do it. Mine wouldn't do it before the Goerend TC and valve body. I am surprised yours is still pulling 10000 lbs. Mine started slipping with just 7000 and the tranny fluid got really dark. I figured it was time to do something before the rest of the transmission followed the TC. The torque available at 1500 rpm is incredible and the stock TC cannot stay in lockup at those low rpm with weight behind it or it will start slipping. It was explained to me that the stock valve body does not generate enough pressure at 1500 to safely keep the TC locked, therefore it allows slippage which contaminates the fluid and that destroys the rest of the transmission.

Are yall serious about not being about to power brake with a stock tranny? I can just sit and smoke my tires untill I get bored. Which normally isnt too long because I dont like replacing tires. But it is nice to be driving down the road and be able to claim those black marks that are about 100 feet long.

No, If I power brake I can roast them until they pop-but just jump on it in a straight line they don't break loose. No doing donuts in the cul de sac Turn the wheel give her hell and around and around we go!!!!

I am no engineer, (well, actually I am ), but my thoughts are that the tranny really takes no more abuse than pulling off from a start with a load. And there is no ****** jerk motion like when dumping a clutch at 5000 rpm in a gasser, so I would think the worst part for wear would be the tires. I wouldn't try it in 4WD though

With my DTT tranny, from a stand still I can floor it and the back tires will break loose. Then I immedately hold the brake and away they smoke.

If you want to see tranny temps shoot out of site, try backing up a steep hill with 8K + on your trailer--Can you say HOT!!!

I think the biggest thing is to ride it out, don't pwr brake and let off the fuel. Ride the burn out all the way till it stops spinning.

Last time I tried power braking was when my shift control sensor went out a few months back. I didn't really know what was wrong with the tranny and couldn't figure out why I had to manually shift from first to second and then to drive. I was sitting out in front of my house, held the brake just enough to keep the truck from moving and doing "mini" spins in each gear. When I had it in second, when the tires started spinning my son's alarm went off in his mustang that was parked behind me. ***?

I slipped on the brake a little and the truck moved a couple feet forward before I let off on the pedal and put it in park, I got out and noticed that the front of his car was covered with pieces of asphault ... ok.. what the heck, I'm puzzled - where the hell did this come from. When I turned around I noticed that were the drivers side tire was on the street (I had one wheel in the street and the other on the rounded curb (concrete) was now a hole in the ground where my tire had decided to dig itself into!

I'll get you a picture maybe tomorrow - it's raining today and I doubt it would show up well..
