factory tint %
17% on my '99. But my rear window was tinted to match the quad windows from the factory. I did my sides in 20% and it matches the shade fine. You probably wont find a shop that can get a 17% film, leaving 20% or 5% for a single layer only. I would recommend 20% as it will let you see out the window at night much better and still provide silhouettes in the day.
I think its barely dake then 20%, 17 seems right. I put my fronts at 20% as well and when I was gettin it done, I told my guy I want em to match the back.. We held it up and looked close and it seemed the back was just a touch daker.
But with the 20% up front and NOT examining it with a micoscope, it looks exactly the same and is the best, IMO, best in between % for tint.

Thanks for the help guys. I talked myself out of diy tint. Talked to a local tint place today and they said they could do the back and doors for $90. That's not much more than I could buy tint and supplies for. Made an appointment for in the morning.
DodgenIt, your truck looks great. I really like the 3rd gen badges.

Just FYI for others looking at the thread. I DIY'd my fronts with a kit from snaptint.com for $25. Precut and with minimal curve to the glass it just laid on. The baby soap and squeege's I picked up at the dollar store. Pretty cheap if you're on a close budget.
