Emblem holes?
much better. i can only answer for the 3rd gen trucks. the newer trucks have double backed tape holding the emblems on. they are pretty easy to remove, there will be no telltale signs that there was anything on there if you are looking to debadge.

I was told dental floss in a sawing motion behind the emblem. No heat, the heat reactivates the glue and the floss can not harm the clear coat. The dental floss will cut through either the glue layer or the foam. Either way you just get some goof off or equivalent and no more residue.
