Okay, it’s without load and I’m not sure where it’s losing oil I think it’s burning it off. The temp gauge used to work and if it still does then it’s around 140° 150°.

oil loss

Hate to say this, but could be turbo. I can't tell u how to troubleshoot it, but I'm sure these guys can steer you straight. The reason I say that is because I thought I had blown my eng, smoke billowing out the exhaust. Thought I blew the eng. It was only the turbo. Be careful it can drain your crankcase and in some cases start burning eng oil and Run Away. BTW be proud, you decided to tackle something that many grown men would not
do. Congrats on your spunk. Semper Fi.

Well, OK, no oil leaking out, so it must go somewhere- check radiator, maybe the oil goes there. If not, it is probable that it gets burned.
How about coolant- level OK, unchanging and not contaminated?

Maybe it still is the turbo as jstapler313 suggests. Simple test would be to remove the turbo, plug both oil lines and run the engine to 2000 rpm- no change your turbo should be good, works fine- turbo or install problem

White smoke is usually coolant burning... Temps won't really come up unless you are running under load so your temp gauge is probably ok. As stated head gasket can be done in vehicle. There is some good you tubers like deboss garage that are well informed....take a watch or two and see if you feel up to the task. You are taking good steps toward diagnosing your issue rather than just throwing parts at it like many do around here. I'm eager to see you up and running!

I think there is oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil, I checked the turbo and it’s all good, but I’m definitely losing coolant and oil, and I think they’re mixing together and then burning off, is that possible? If thats the case what do I need to do?
