Electrical Problem in Cab HELP!!
Electrical Problem in Cab HELP!!
Well today I lost power to some things in the cab and it's got me stumped. I was adjusting my power mirrors when they stopped working, the radio went out at the same time; I also have no dome light or map lights. Everything else works as it should (pw, pl, seats, overhead console readout, dash lights.) I checked all of the fuses in the cab and under the hood and they were all good. Is there fuses or relays in any other place than those two? This is probably a simple problem but electrical stuff is not my strong point. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You need to replace the IOD fuse. It is usually inside of a funny looking plastic holder in the fuse box. It will pull all the way out with some force. You can either just replace the fuse or you can put a new fuse in the holder and replace it. The holder is there to make it possible to pull the fuse for storage so your battery won't go dead. It powers most all of the things that will work while the key is off. Mirrors, domelight, ect.
Was just gonna post that I found the problem it was indeed the IOD fuse, looked fine the first time I checked it but it wasn't upon closer inspection. Thanks for the reply vzdude.
