Glad to hear it worked for ya Wantedwolf. I know about the first thing I did to my truck when I got it was to turn that stupid feature off. I mean seriously if I wanted my doors locked I would lock them.

Mikmaze, I have no idea how to turn it off in a third gen. You might try posting in the third gen section, I'd be willing to bet you'd have an answer very shortly.

I have mine set to lock due to the "interesting" areas I have to drive my truck for my side business and the auto lock is nice for that. In our town, "ladies of the night" have been known to hop in vehicles sitting waiting for the lights to change, then the cops jump on you and of course they are going to believe you, that you were just sitting there... it can make for a really bad day...

Plus it helps if someone trys to carjack your ride...

We dont even get that in Calgary, And I lived one blk from the hot spot during high school. Im passing thru SK this weekend maybe I should rearm the locks.

The car jackings Maybe I could see.

Yikes! I guess if I lived in an area like that i'd leave my locks alone. Glad I live out here in podunk, heck I don't hardly ever lock my doors at all.
