Diff between 2001 & 01.5

I know the obvious one is rear disc brakes. What about the under hood insulation, rear wheel well liners, and rear cup holders?

My truck has a production date of 06/01. It does have the wheel well liners, but does not have the under hood insulation or rear cup holders.

Can these two items be added? I'd like the cup holders for my boys.
The hood insulation...not sure if I would add it. It's just for noise, right?

Im thinking that the rear cup holders and the under hood liner was an option.. Mine is a VERY early 01 that was built in november of 99. It has both the under hood liner and rear cup holders.

My fathers 02 doesnt have the liner or the cup holders. So im deff thinking they were options. The consols and hoods are the same so why wouldnt you be able to go to the dealer and order them and put them both in ?

All 3 items mentioned use to be standard equipment (or ST, SLT based)

They've all gone the way of the dinosaur in the name of profit.

They just disapeared during the production run as they ran out of them at the factory.

I know the wheel liners and hood blanket can be ordered, but not sure on the rear cup holders.

IMO the rear cup holders are useless. Way too shallow to hold anything and they are so low you forget there is something in them and you end up kicking the drink over.

I have an 01.5 and it has all: rear disk/wheel liners, hood linner, cup holder. There was also a HP increase on the 01.5 automatics. They went to the same HP as a 5 speed (135 I think).

Dang it! I threw my rear cup holder assy away about a month ago. We take the center council out quite a bit when we go on road trips. Gives the daughter room to stretch. I agree with Dr.K, the cupholder is pretty worthless.

Never used that dang thing but I would probably conclude they are deffinately too low and shallow to put something in. They are so oddly located I just found out I had some when I gave my truck a good carpet cleaning the other day. But the front cupholders in my 01 are the best in any vehicle ive ever owned !! what do you think?

My early 2002 don't have a hood liner, front cup holders work well, never look at the rear cup holders. Have to check on the fender liners, I think I have them hafta look when I get home.

While on the subject of options, I am looking to get the digital overhead console. The problem is that I do not know if I have the necessary existing connections. Any way to find out??

My Mexican built 2002 is an SLT Laramie and it doesn't have the wheel well liners, the hood insulation, power driver seat, overhead computer, or the cargo trays behind the seat. btw its a standard cab. Thye must have ran out of all those parts when mine was built. It doesn't matter though, it still functions as a diesel pick up.

Power seat and overhead computer were options, I believe, even on an SLT. My truck got the cargo trays, but none of the rest of that formerly standard stuff.

My 01.5 has rear cup holders, overhead comp, hood insullation, rear disc brakes. Mine is an SLT.

DR. KAYAK, 01.5 automatics were 235 HP, the HO was 245.

Right 235HP for an 01.5 automatic up from 215HP for a 2000 auto. The older non-HO five speeds were 235 as well. This is what I was trying to say.

My late late '02 is missing just about everything. I'm surprised they had a Cummins engine left over for it

Built 15 July at the Lago plant-- undercoated cab, Mega-HD engine block, great truck.
