1998(.5) Ram 2500 24V Diesel. I'm removing the dash to fix several things behind it and then replace it. I have all of it off except for the lower portion (not sure the name). I've pulled out all the screws I can find, but it's still attached at the 2 ends somewhere. Any help on finding the attachment points for the ends (by doors) would be greatly appreciated!

 

They are two bolts hidden up under the sides of the lower dash that bolt to the side of the cab.
Just loosen them and you can slide the dash forward, then up and out, or just rotate it downward.

 

It's also easier if you lower the steering column.....

 

Yeah now that I am looking at the OP pictures, the steering column need to be dropped and that steering wheel lock needs to go.

 

Mine went pretty smoothly when I replaced the heater core, FSM doesn't show one of the fan box nuts down above the trans hump....
