Cruise Control question

Wondering what controls the cruise control on an 01? Mine is not working for the most part. It seems to try, a little urge and then cuts out. Is it a vacuum system or electronic? Also I don't know if the two are connected but my temp control has no variance. I get full hot or full cold only. The temp **** when at the top dead center position is the breaking point, one notch either way and the blend motor moves all the way over. It has the Heat Treater fix and that connection is solid.

Clock spring manages cruise in an 01...

IIRC blend door is vacuum actuated, pull control panel and check vac lines on rear of switch as a starting point...

Refer to a factory service manual.

I had a vacuum elbow collapse and keep mine from working on my first 12v. Do a thorough vacuum test.
