Its in the steering column behind the steering wheel. You have to remove the wheel to get at it. Watch out for the airbag, this needs to be disconnected in order to replace the clockspring.

On my 98.5 the cruse control just quit working one day. What I found was a hole in the small plastic tube, under the battery box, drivers side. Spliced in a new piece, FREE, and it is now working trouble free.
Could your problem be loosing the vacuem to the sending unit?

im guna take and pull my battery box this weekend and go get some new hose and just redo all the vaccum lines also about 3 weeks ago i noticed that under the hood on the passenger side the vaccum hose that runs out of the fire wall above the a/c unit had come apart so i left it then got in the cab and my a/c selector switch was dead so i jerry rigged that piece and now it started working. but also my other question would be were could you get vaccum hose that small ?

I did not replace the good parts of this small plastic tubeing, but the auto parts store had a larger size that this OEM hose would just fit into. Worked reall well. Dodge wanted like 21 dollars for the replacement hose. Or you can search out junk yards.
