Cooling Sys.

Looking to replace the anti-freeze in my o2 CTD,any heads up,are there drain valves and how much dose it hold?Should I replace the thermostate?

I never use the funky drain valves on these rigs, almost all of them break or don't seal right again.
Easier to just remove the lower hose.

I can usually get about 5.5 gallons in my 12 valves.
Use distilled water or premix antifreeze.

I'm of the if it ain't broke don't fix it camp. I wouldn't mess with the stat personally.

Same here. The drain **** on the radiator is brittle and can break if you turn it the wrong way with a tool.

Pull the lower hose and have a couple buckets ready. You will get more of the old coolant out if you have the truck pointing down hill.

Make sure you get the proper coolant! You want Cummins approved Ethylene Glycol. I used Chrysler brand for the Cummins.
