17* & the cruise would not come on, could not get the indicator lite on the wheel to come on. After it warmed up to 35* the lite would come on but the cruise would not engage nor could I get the lite to go out when pushing on the on-off button. Is there a minimum set point temp wise ?

 

With an auto tranny the cruise won't come on till the fluid reaches 70°F

 

That probably explains it though I'm still not sure why to begin with the indicator lite would not come on but on the second trip the lite did come on, My temp sender is a midnight diesel on the output line & never moved so I'm sure it did not get all that warm.
