remove puke bottle for very cold temps

Well, this is my first post here so forgive the newbie mistakes. I just bought a 2000 and she is all stock except for the 4" MBRP turbo back I just put on. The puke bottle location has successfully rust checked the radiator, block and most of the front end of the truck. I seen other threads about people moving it further back, etc. I would do this except for the extremely cold temps we get here (-45 Celcius) and I do not want the hose freezing on me and then blowing a seal. Does anyone have any experience with keeping the hose nice and warm but moving it to a better location?
Thanks

Just hang the hose straight down or make sure it has a downward slope and youll be fine.

I just used a new piece of heater hose and ran it straight across to the drivers side and the puke bottle sits lose down on the ledge by the headlight. Yeh, I know the hose will deteriorate but it's been a few years now and it's still like new. As for freezing? Never had a problem and it gets pretty cool in Edmonchuck.

I just yanked my bottle and lost it. Open hose dripping strait down. Nothing to clog or get backed up. Keep an eye on your radiatiors though.

I removed my bottle from the engine and relocated it to the outer frame rail and extended the hose to it. Picts in my gallery.

.....I've pulled three radiators in a week and a half now for "overheats while pulling grades". Degreased them, power washed, and acid wheel cleaner makes them like new.

Don't worry about the hose freezing. As long as it has a constant downward slope it will be fine.

just making it longer wont fix the oil leaking out, and a heater hose will eventuly colaps, its not made for oil. i used the braded pvc ran it up and over like the link, but its all 1 pice soft hose, then down and dropes out just befeor the transfer case, if ur really worried about the cold drop it by the starter, that way itll always be heated by the block.
