I have a 97 2wd turbo diesel the alternater sometimes will not charge when I start it up in the morning. This also effects my transmission the truck won't shift and slips on takeoff unless I shift manually to lo gear. If I drive a while or let it idle it jumps up to charge. Sometimes in a few minutes and sometimes a few hours. I can't figure this one out. Can anyone help?
