Question Central Timing Module

I believe I have a problem with this module in my truck. A long time ago my intermittent wipers would not return to the bottom of the winshield when in the intermittent mode. Now I have no chime when I leave the headlights on or when the key is left in the ignition. Is there a way to reset this thing?? Does anybody know if it is possible to get one aftermarket as the dealer wants 130.00 for a new one. If I get one from a junked truck do I have to do anything when I change them out? I do not have remote locks.

All I can tell you is that by far the most common problem caused by a bad CTM is seat belt belts that stay unlocked and run the batteries down when parked.

Problem with the chimes could be the chimer module or wiring.

not 100% sure but wipers not parking, should be a faulty wiper motor issue. I doubt it has anything to do with a timer moduel

Took the truck to the dealer and they hooked it up to the computer. They said that the computer was not able to commumicate with the body control module ot the timing module only the ECM. Where to go from here. I also now notice that the compass in the compouter now thinks the truck is pointed west all the time. Will it help to use the ECM reset process??

In my experience a failure to communicate code is caused by a poor connection to the PCM though most dealers will tell you the PCM is bad.
Surprised they didn't.
The PCM is very stout and rarely fails.
Problem is usually a wire rubbed though and grounding out or a female connector right at the PCM making poor contact.
