Carpet on the door handle?`

My buddy has a 01 dodge 2500, and on the door where the carpet section is, the place where you put your elbow is broke. Can you just replace that carpeted section, or do you have to replace the entire door panel? Thanks

if you mean the plastic of the panel thats under the carpet trim, you could fix that with some fiberglass and resin. Melt the cracks shut and then stick a couple layers of glass over the repair. Get a bunch of those trim 'trees' from the auto parts store and pop the panel off and do the fix.
The carpet stuff itself you might be able to cut that section off, make it look nice and use some 3M trim adhesive to stick some other material in that spot, perhaps even some leather so it doesnt wear as bad.
